Another Week Down . . .

Well yet another week down and well, it was a pretty cool week i guess! 

Monday we played soccer and kids listen to your mom when she tells you to put on sunscreen.  We also went and bought ties, so we can be swaggin #PreachinWithStyle

Well Tuesday was a super cool day. We didn't have that many lessons but we had a super cool lesson with a family who was inactive, but they are active again. So we shared with them Ether 6:6 and 7.  It talks about boats and being tight like unto a dish, it was just a powerful lesson. The entire family was making good remarks and then we spoke and we were just guided by the spirit!! After the wife, Hermana Blanca, said to us. "Elders I finally understand. I've read this chapter many times and never understood why it was in here. Now you guys just helped me understand and just completely opened by mind." Then we just testified how every scripture in the B of M is applicable to our life. If you don't believe try! After the lesson we just felt sooo good. I love the mission so much for experiences like that!!!  #BofMPower

Wednesday was kinda crappy we only had one appt and just walked around a whole lot...

Thursday also kinda crappy, but we did have a lesson with our Inv. Ulises, he has been reading the B of M and he told us that he had received his answer that he knows the book of Mormon is true, what did I tell ya #BofMPower

Well Friday we had appointments set for every hour after lunch, unfortunately many failed, but we still had quite a few lessons, we went to a fhe to a members house with our Inv Ulises, and he was making comments,  wow he is just awesome!!!

Saturday another day, we had to go clean the chapel with our ward mission leader, there was four of us to clean the entire chapel, we even cleaned it according to my mom's standards. We were there a couple hours cause people here don't know how to clean. Then we had a meeting for stake conference, this area seventy came and totally burned the crap out of the leaders lol.

Sunday we had stake conference and well that was solid.  We were in the hills visiting people, then we had another family night, our inv. Ulises came with his violin, he plays in the orchestra, and as we sang the hymns he played it was so cool!! 

Well that's my rundown of the week!!! I love you guys so much. Thanks for everything, and don't forget..... Panays will one day rule the world! haha

Well this was another solid week... So here is the rundown!!!

Tuesday... We had interviews with President, and then some trainings!! Everything was good, it was fun and then we had all of our appts. fail us, so we just walked around and contacted people!! But is was cool cause Hermana Harbertson showed me how she marked her scriptures, and it gave me a great idea, which has been something I've been looking to do to have study time be more effective.

Wednesday... We helped the second counselor of the bishopric move. So we were doing that like all morning.  We had to take stuff up to the 4th floor of a building, let's just say Peruvian staircases aren't very big, its definitely interesting taking the big things up. Then we had Lasagna for lunch :) After we received a reference from a guy who moved here from Arequipa, and well he is super awesome!! He was talking to the missionaries there and then contacted some missionaries in Cusco because he wanted them to come!! So we had a short lesson with him, then went to a family night with him as well! He is awesome!

Thursday... we had a couple of appts. and a less active member invited us over to lunch. That was good, then just kinda a normal day.. haha.

Friday. . . I hit 10 months and we didn't have one appt. the entire day, we walked a whole lot that day.. Kinda lame!

Saturday . . .we got up at 5:45 cause we had ward council at 6:00. People here in Peru don't know what sleep is... Then we had a ton of appts in the morning and afternoon so we were just jammed pack really the entire day Saturday was much better than Friday!!!

Sunday. . . During church a recent convert brought up a pic of Jonny Bravo on his iphone and showed me it and said that it was me! haha it was pretty funny!!! Well right after church we went with the relief society president into the mountains of Cusco to go visit people. It was actually pretty cool, but I'm pretty sure we hiked up to the last house on the mountain, but it was cool because the view was amazing!!! After lunch we had a couple more appts, then we had a family night with the sister missionaries. Well, let's say they are evil!! haha nah but they did this activity with the atonement, where they give out candy, but for every piece of candy there is a price that must be paid. And only one person is allowed to pay that price. I was the chosen person and for every candy she handed out I had to do 10 pushups. Whether they rejected it or accepted it I was doing pushups! Elder Barry and I think I did around 250 that night.. I was dying!!! hahaha but now I'm swoll so hey ladies I'm looking pretty good right now!! ;)

Haha, well that's really about all that's happened, I still suck at soccer in case you were wondering!! Love you all and hope you have a great week!!! :)

He´s Mine!!!!!

Well, this week was a pretty cool week... So here goes.

Monday we spent the whole day saying bye to people for my companion, it felt like a normal day of proselyting, which is kinda a bummer.

Tuesday I sent my comp off and stayed the day with Elder Day, the zone leader, we did a service for these less active members who can barely walk now.. We had to go clean up this room. Let's just say it was gross. We found big old fish bones.... It was really gross, we were there for two hours cleaning up the room, the worst thing is the sister is a hoarder!! She wouldn't let us throw anything out!! After that we had to go pick up elders for changes and take them to their corresponding rooms, after I went with Elder Martin, my friend from the MTC, back to our room and we just stayed there for the night cause we had to go to the office Wednesday morning to receive our children.

So Wednesday I was in the emergency room all day, or trainings with president on how to be a dad, (sorry if I scared you mom), then the new missionaries came in. There were 12 of them, 6 sisters and 6 elders, of the 6 elders 1 of them was a gringo, so my odds weren't very good. So they come in, we have a little more training, and after that what happens is the president calls the new missionary, says the sector he will be in, then the comp. So Elder Barry, the gringo, stands up and President calls him to... Los Alamos Cusco!!!! My kid is the gringo!!! yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! haha it's awesome he is cool and is from San Diego, and he actually met Jake in the MTS!! So that's cool!

Thursday, we had a lot of failed appts. and walked and contacted a lot.

Friday just about the same thing a couple of appts., but mainly just walking and contacting most of the day.

Saturday we had ward council, a solid 2 members were there with the 4 missionaries, it was very affective.... then we had a cool lesson with a less active/recent convert guy. We went with the first counselor in the bishopric, had a normal lesson then right at the end, he took my comps scriptures, and started just flipping through the book of mormon, then told the recent convert, Edu, to just put his finger in a random page to stop him, so he did and he found just the coolest scripture on faith!! Then the first counselor did the same thing but stopped it himself and found another cool scripture on repentance!! The recent convert was pretty surprised but it was super cool, then we had a dance activity in the stake that we went too. After that at about 10:00 at night the bishop called us asking us to give talks!! I just started laughing cause Elder Barry had to give a talk his first Sunday here!! hahahah

Sunday, we gave our talks, Elder Barry did great, who knows how I did, then we taught this super cool family, had a couple more lessons and then had a family night with our ward  mission leader. We had a ton of people come which was super cool and we watched the Tyler Haws mormon message. Then Elder Barry and I taught a little lesson off of that. The sister missionaries in our ward brought an investigator, and she said after seeing that video she wanted to serve a mission. #guidedbythespirit! 

Haha, well there's the week oh ya and we were kicking the soccer ball around trying to just juggle it together and we had a pretty good run going and then Elder Barry kicked it off the wall and then tried to save it and kicked it super hard against the other wall, but as he kicked it the second time, he slipped and ate it!! oh man I love my SON!!! Love you all!!! Here's a pic of my kid with one of my good mission buddies and his kid, who are going down to Chanu Chanu ( my old sector, where I started the miss).

POR FIN!!!!!

Well I'm gonna be a Dad!!!! My comp had a change, kind of a huge relief, and I will be training a new missionary, I'm kinda scared but excited as well!!! So next week you guys will get to see him!

OK well another rundown of not such a great week,

Monday we played soccer and I had a goalazo!!!! So what happened is someone kicked it up in the air, then a sister headed it up to me and I headed it in, It was so tight!! You can pretty much say I'm a professional.

Tuesday, we were pretty much in the house all day, just to pour salt on the wound my comp hurt his back playing soccer, so that was another reason we couldnt leave, we ended up going out at 6:00 and visited one guy and then came back home,

Wednesday we went to the house of our recent convert, Gustavo, the one who was baptized last week, he told us he wants to go on the mission!! GREATEST FEELING EVER!!! That was seriously pure joy that only comes from God hearing those words come out of his mouth, then we had a couple more lessons, but my comp was still mad at me, just like almost the rest of the week,

Thursday I did divisions with Elder Day, I went to his sector and it was great, we worked and well I knocked doors for the first time in my mission!! Its just not something that we do here a lot, but it was a great day! We also received a referral there of a golden investigator, but it was for another sector so sad...

Friday was good, our other ZL who was with my comp helped my comp calm down and so he was pretty happy on Friday and we had a good day, until at night when we had a meeting with our ward mission leader and then idk what happened but my comp was mad again.

Saturday we went to an appt at 10 in the morning, then some members invited us to lunch, then went back to the house and we were there all day again. 

Sunday still super mad at me we went to church, he finally calmed down and we were good. We were gonna go eat lunch with another member in her house, but she misunderstood us, so she took us out to eat, probably not the greatest thing but oh well, then we come home and I start counting up our numbers for the week and well, he got mad again, who knows why, and was mad at me all night.

So you could say I'm pretty happy to have a new comp, I've given a fair amount of massages this week as well, and it's kinda weird, but oh well!! haha Hope you guys have a great week and to all those who are going back to school soon, sucks to suck!!! PERU IS THE COOLEST!! I love you all!! Write me and well have a good life!!

Well it was another kind of rough week... another rundown

Monday, We played soccer I think, and that was pretty fun, I still suck really really really bad. But hey its all about the effort right?

Tuesday we had a lesson, then we helped the elders quorum president move houses, then after lunch had a couple more lessons, pretty normal day. We were with our inv who is just a stud. Then two elders came and stayed with us, Elder Jensen and Elder Bravo, Elder Jensen was in Puno with me, and Elder Bravo is the son of Elder Bentson, he went to Hillcrest and we realized that we had class together so that was pretty great!"They came cause we had a multizone conference on Wednesday, that Elder Jensen and I had to teach, so we finalized all our plans.

Wednesday we had the multi zone conference, but it was cool cause it wasn't in the church, we did it outside! We went to this place called Balcon del diablo, and so we were in normal clothes the entire day. I think ELder Jensen and I taught well, we did a science experiment for an example and it was pretty cool, the whole conference was great, except my comp didnt want to participate in any of the activities, so that was rough.

Thursday we had a zone meeting then after a couple more appts, then we were doing a lot of things to get everything ready for the baptism.

Friday we had a couple appts in the morning, then in the afternoon, my comp decided to sleep the entire afternoon, after a long talk we finally left and did something. We visited a family he has little baby rabbits so that was cool! Saturday was our baptism and that was good,  oyr convert is the greatest he is so awesome!! And a miracle happened, we actually started on time!! haha

Sunday normal fast sunday, except we had to teach the entire ward for the third hour of church, it was cool we did an activity where they practiced inviting friends to church, after that just normal things visiting people, we did a family night with this member, and this guy, Hermano Martin, right before we start, just leaves, then comes back with 7 random people!!! haha it was so funny!! After we realized he had gone to the soccer field and invited the kids playing soccer there, It was pretty funny!!!

Well just wanna wish my dad a happy happy birthday!!! Hope you have a great day dad!!!
